Clear majority in Germany continues to support energy transition but concerns are on the rise
Most German citizens still believe the energy transition is indispensable - but worries about its negative impact on the economy are increasing, news magazine Der Spiegel reports based on a survey by pollster Allensbach. Sixty percent of respondents said they consider the climate friendly transformation of the country’s energy system as necessary, while only 15 percent said they do not believe so. For 27 percent of respondents, the effects were balancing out each other.
